Saturday 4 July 12.30 - 2.00pm
"Feel the winter coming on,
Hear it in the crackling trees;
Note the crisping, quivering wind
Sharply snapping at their leaves.
Let the frost rest on your face,
Sense a shiver on your skin.
See how pretty nature is
when she ushers Winter in."
This workshop is for those who struggle to find suitable flowers to make Winter arrangements. Using a variety of wintery blooms, berries, twigs and moss along with some foraged finds you will create a beautiful wild arrangement in a timber log using a mix of traditional and modern techniques so you will be able to repeat the process again and again at home.
You will leave with a floral masterpiece, new skills and a sense of achievement!
I will supply all floral matter & materials including the timber base but please feel free to bring flora & foliage from your own garden and surrounds (if available) that you will have easy access to throughout Autumn so you can learn how to use them throughout the season.
A small grazing platter will be supplied along with herbal tea & mulled wine.
The workshop will be held at the 'Nova Hotel' Kiama (next to The Grand) at 31 Bong Bong Street - please register your arrival at the shop.
